South African Tourism Strengthens Value Proposition for Indian Travelers

Partners with Air Seychelles for exclusive offers and launches campaign to encourage rapid growth in Indian tourist footfall

At a time of rising fuel prices and airfares, South African Tourism has launched an exclusive airfare campaign to India in partnership with Air Seychelles. Taking place for a month between July 25 and August 25, 2022, the campaign offers return tickets on the Mumbai-Johannesburg route for INR 38,148. The trip will be valid between July 25, 2022 and January 31, 2023. Air Seychelles is also offering an additional 20% discount off the base fare for consumers using promo code 00G4S51T. This value-driven offering by the tourism board is expected to significantly support and encourage the rapidly growing Indian tourist visitation to South Africa.

Through this targeted digital campaign, South African Tourism hopes to engage with millennials, childless dual-income households and Indian families. The campaign will showcase value-friendly propositions offered by Rainbow Nation, allowing travelers to splurge more on wellness and experiences while saving on airfare. This conversion campaign is an extension of the More & More campaign launched by the tourist board earlier this year and will entice consumers to make their travel bookings with direct calls to action.

India is now the sixth largest international source market and one of the top 3 target markets for South African tourism globally, as Indian travelers are resilient and adventurous. Travelers from India to South Africa are NOT required to produce a full vaccination certificate or a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test at this time.
