The price paid by the families of our military men and women … who can measure it? A new video shows the joy of a Missouri mother when she realizes her soldier son had come home early.
This happened recently in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Here’s how the soldier’s brother explained what he captured on video:
My brother came back from the army and my mother was not yet waiting for him at home. We surprised her by making him wait at her house when she got home.
It’s a short but sweet moment and probably the best: 47 seconds of my day so far. Maybe you will feel the same.
On YouTube, a lady shared what I think a lot of us feel when we see these types of shared moments:
Emily Emily – “Thank you for your service and sacrifice. God bless your family. Your mother made me cry”
Yeah. Pretty much nailed down. It is easy to take for granted that these soldiers sometimes spend months or years away from home and that many are not granted permission to visit their families often enough.
Thank you to this young soldier and to all the men and women like him and their families who pay this heavy price over and over again without any hugging or enthusiastic crowds.
